Harshal Patel RCB IPL 2022: IPL 2021 Purple Cap winner Harshal Patel will be aiming to repeat the same feat if not more in the upcoming IPL 2022. Ahead of the season, he talked about the upcoming IPL season and his personal targets. Meanwhile, Harshal Patel had earned a national team call-up last year due to his impressive performance in IPL 2021. He will be aiming to keep his spot as T0 World Cup will be knocking on the door. Q. Have You felt the pressure tag?

” I was not playing loose cricket for 20Lakh. I am gonna play the same way, exactly I play the last year, whether it is 10 lakh or 10.75 crores does not really matter. ”

Q. Any new weapons added this season?

” No new skill, All I can hope for is precision in my execution, tighter in my execution, and if I do that I will be very happy. ”

Q. How do you adapt to the Mumbai conditions?

“ What I bowl is what I know, and that’s not gonna change but what change is how you adapt to these conditions, how you package your six balls. If I am playing in Chennai, I am bowling slower balls and if I am playing on these batting-friendly and bouncy pitches, I am gonna package my overs differently. So it is all about how you adapt to the conditions and adapting the oppositions, and I feel that any good player should be able to do that. ”

Q. What are your thoughts on RCB’s Bowling Attacks?

” Our first bowling lineup is pretty much the same, me and Siraj and probable guys like Hazlewood, Behrendoff, Willey will come in and our local talented guys like Akash. This is one of the fine fast bowling lines up in IPL, and spinners like Wanny (Wannindu Hasaranga) did it for Srilanka and Shahbaz every time put it into a different situation, and performed, changed the game for us. All in all, it’s a good bowling lineup and at the end of the day how well we execute our plans on the game. ”

5. What about the first interaction with captain Faf?

” Yeah he is big on clarity, again which I something really values, and the captain and the bowler are on the same page, and then there is clarity on the field, and there is not a lot of mixed messaging going on. So clarity is very important, yeah he is clearly communicating to me, how he likes to operate, and I am clearly communicating to him, how I like to operate. So, there is a very good relationship between us, and that will to the whole bowling unit. And I feel if all of us are together on the same page in terms of how we want to play the game and how we want to play the tournament, Then we are more likely to succeed. ”
