Anuj Rawat IPL 2022: After three successive failures, RCB Management backed opening batsman Anuj Rawat for the match against Mumbai Indians. The Delhi lad proved metal when he notched 50+ runs. Moreover, Anuj had contributed through a solid partnership with Virat Kohli to lead Bangalore to a comprehensive victory over MI. So, he sat down with the media to react to his knock.

Q.1 What does it mean for you to play for RCB?

Ans: This is one of the franchises since I have started playing for and watching IPL. It feels great to be a part of the Royal Challengers Bangalore family and I am happy about that.

Q.2 Are you satisfied with the price tag?

Ans: I was expecting myself to be picked by some of the franchises. But I was not expecting this much amount for me. At the end of the day, all the guys here on board are professionals, and it’s important for the cricketers to understand that the price tag is always associated with the type of skill of quality of cricket you play on the ground. Q.3 When did RCB call you?

Ans: I have been scouted for RCB for 3 years. And after the T20 tournament RCB has asked me about my batting videos and keeping videos, and they are now paying me. I am so happy for that.

Q.4 Have you not been tired I mean you have been on a non-stop effort on the first day itself?

Ans: Coming out of 3 hard day quarantine, I wanted to be everywhere on the field. And the session went really well have some wicket-keeping drills, a fielding session,s and batting as well as planned. Want to play all the games for RCB. Yeah, so it went really well.

Q.5 What are your personal goals while playing at RCB?

Ans: There are many players whom I played before, Shahbaz, and Harshal. Yeah, I wanted to learn from them. Wanted to play along with them. Hope for the best journey. Hope for a good year ahead.
