ATK Mohun Bagan to finalize their CFL Squad within the first week of June: With Calcutta Football League 2022 scheduled to kick-ff in the last week of June, the Mariners are all set to finalize their squad within the next few days. The Mariners could not take part in the last year’s CFL due to obvious reasons. However, the management is willing to form a squad within the next week. According to our source, ATKMB will field a relatively young squad with an experienced captain. Ashutosh Mehta is the front-runner to lead the Mariners in the upcoming CFL 2022.

ATK Mohun Bagan completed the ISL season in March. Thereafter, they shifted their focus to AFC Cup 2022. After advancing through to the Inter-Zonal semifinals, the coach and the supporting staff are allowed a short break. Juan Ferrando returned to Barcelona to spend quality time with his family as the management is also looking to finalize Bastab Roy as the head coach (CFL).

Senior players are likely to be rested as young players like Kiyan, Abhisekh, Ravi, Arsh, and Sumit are likely to get more opportunities. Meanwhile, Indian Football Association(IFA) has not released the schedule yet. The governing body is currently focusing on the upcoming AFC Asian Cup 2023 Qualifiers.
