David Warner IPL 2022: Warner feels familiar with DC and excited about the ongoing IPL campaign: David Warner is coming back to IPL first time after winning the world cup last year. After having a stint with SRH, the Aussie comes back to the franchise from where he started his IPL career. The opener-batsman has arrived after playing a test series against Pakistan. Meanwhile, he has sat down with the media to discuss his thoughts on the future ahead.

Q.1 How does it feels to be back in DC?

Ans: Yeah look, it feels exciting, Obviously, it has been a big part of my first part of the IPL, my carrier, and then went to Sunrisers, now back at DC so I am familiar. There are some familiar faces around, there are obviously some new faces so I am excited to get into this. David Warner IPL 2022

Q.2 Are you excited to work with Ricky Ponting?

Ans: Yeah, I am excited, obviously, he has had a fair bit of success previously with Mumbai and obviously here at DC. He is a great leader and was a great leader for Australia and is now in the coaching dept. has a lot of respect amongst his peers and amongst everyone that is involved in cricket, and I am looking forward to being under him. Q.3 How do you look forward to playing with Rishabh?

Ans: I want to see how I can learn to play those one-handed shots. So I am always against him, usually when I am playing against him, but obviously being a part of him a young guy learning his ropes of leadership, obviously he has been an integral part of the Indian team as well. So I am excited. I can’t wait to be at the other end as well around the middle and yeah obviously excited and pumped.

Q.4 How excited are you for the next game?

Ans: Yeah look, I am really excited. obviously, I was disappointed to have a loss in the last game, but we know what we are going to be facing, we have seen a couple of games now. I think guys, I heard Ricky say in the change room that we have not played that complete game yet, and you know from the bowling and batting department we got to be a bit more disciplined. If we hold our catches in the field as well as it will go a long way into the tournament.
