East Bengal Complete bulk of signings ahead of the formal launch with Emami: It has been a long few years for all the Red-Brigade fans, however, things have finally taken a U-Turn after Emami agreed to start a joint venture with the 103-year-old club. Ahead of the formal launch on 2 August 2022, East Bengal FC complete bulk of domestic signings with transfer fees as well as without. Aniket Jadhav, VP Suhair, and Mobashir entered into a multi-year deal while some of them are contracted until the end of the season.

Emami East Bengal joint venture

East Bengal FC, known for challenging for the top spots in the league, had to suffer a lot in recent years. Since the departure of Alejandro Garcia, the team never came close to reckoning. The popular multinational conglomerate company, Emami has promised the fans of making a strong team ahead of the season. Things are moving handsomely as they already have acquired quite a few talented youngsters to the squad.

East Bengal new players

Mohammad Rakip, Ivan Gonzalez, and Mobashir Rahman agreed to a deal earlier. In the last few days, the club has secured the services of Ankit Mukherjee, Sarthak Golui, Amarjit Singh Kiyam, Souvik Chakraborty, Pawan Kumar, Subhasish Roy Chowdhury, Aniket Jadhav, and VP Suhair. VP Suhair is certainly the pick of them, as the Kerala-born winger was rumored to join his home club Kerala Blasters. However, the Red and gold officials sent a lucrative offer and the winger took time and eventually decided to return to his former club.

We can expect all the announcements within the next few days, as the club is completing its formalities. Durand Cup 2022 is just around the corner and Bino George has already visited the club to meet the reserve squad. It remains to be seen how East Bengal fear in the Durand cup as they are drawn with ATK MB and MCFC.
