Emami East Bengal complete three new domestic signings: Emami East Bengal is pleased to announce the names of 3 (three) new domestic players who have joined the senior squad team.

Emami East Bengal New Domestic Signings:

Kamaljit Singh: The 26-year-old goalkeeper signed after activating his release clause at Odisha FC. The Punjabi goalkeeper has made 44 appearances in the ISL including 12 for Odisha FC last season when he also saved two penalties. Kamaljit has been previously called up for the India senior national team and besides Odisha, has appeared for FC Pune City and Hyderabad FC, where he was also the captain.

Sumeet Passi: The 27-year-old utility player joined the club on a free transfer after spending last season at RoundGlass Punjab FC where he made 17 appearances in the I-League. The former Jamshedpur FC player has made 32 appearances in the ISL scoring 3 goals and has played eight times for the India senior national team under the coaching of Stephen Constantine.

Lalchungnunga: The 21-year-old versatile defender has joined on loan from I-League Club Sreenidi Deccan FC, where he made 17 appearances last season. He was also in the I-League All-Star Squad of 2021-22. The Mizoram defender had also played for Aizawl earlier in the I-League and this will be his first ISL stint.

East Bengal First Match

Stephen Constantine’s East Bengal will begin their preparation for the Durand Cup 2022 with a friendly game against CFL Division 1 club, Diamond Harbour FC. The match will take place on 16 August 2022 at the Naihati Stadium at 5.30 PM IST.

Indian multinational conglomerate company, Emami and East Bengal Club came together to start a joint venture as ‘Emami East Bengal’ for the upcoming seasons. The Red and Gold brigade will take on in-form Diamond Harbour FC in a friendly game as a preparatory match for the upcoming Durand Cup 2022. Emami East Bengal will face their arch-rival ATK Mohun Bagan in their opening match of the Durand Cup on 28 August 2022. So, follow Grind India for more updates.
