KKR IPL 2022 Playing XI: From their official twitter handle KKR announces that they have retained four players. They are Andre Russel (INR 12cr), Varun Chakravarthy (INR 8cr), Venkatesh Iyer (INR 8cr) and Sunil Narine (INR 6cr). So, the obvious question for fans was there who will leading the side as they had not retained Eoin Morgan, and Dinesh Karthik.
So, after the auction, it is pretty clear who will captaining the side, it is either Shreyas Iyer or Pat Cummins. In the opening pair, Venkatesh Iyer and Ajinkya Rahane will shine their positions, Iyer who was brilliant in the last edition smashes 370 runs at an average of 41.11 and strike rate of 128.47.

Kolkata Knight Riders IPL 2022:

In positions 3,4 and 5 batters like Nitish Rana, Shreyas Iyer, and Sheldon Jackson Could play some match-winning knocks. Shreyas Iyer who was the former captain of Delhi capitals is also an excellent middle order can be a match-winner for the team. The biggest strength of this team since inception is the all-rounders. Allrounders like Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, Md Nabi, Chamika Karunaratne could deliver some vital runs with minimum ball spending. In bowling, they could also manage some tight overs.

In the bowling dept, it is a mixture of young and experience. As the likes of Cummins and Umesh Yadav will be partnering with Shivam Mavi and Varun Chakravarthy. However, the form of Mavi is a bit concerning with just 11 wickets in 9 matches. Varun Chakravarty and Narine were quite good in the previous year as they set to do it again in India. Players like Sam Billings as backup wicketkeepers. Meanwhile, Baba Indrajit, Pratham Singh, Aman Khan, Anukul Roy, Tim Southee, Ashok Sharma will warm the bench.
