RR IPL 2022 Playing XI: The management of RR led by newly appointed coach Kumar Sangakkara previously retain their two-star players like Sanju Samson (INR 14cr), Jos Buttler (INR 10cr), and uncapped Indian star batter Yashasvi Jaiswal (INR 4cr). Like every other season, they tried to make their batting lineup aggressive, and this season will also be one of them.

In the opening Jaiswal pairs with Jos Buttler in the middle, Although the form of Jaiswal was not up to mark last season in both phases of the game, scores just 249 runs in 10 matches, with an average of less than 23. However Buttler was unavailable in the second phase of the game due to personal reasons, but his record in India was quite good.

Rajasthan Royals Depth Analysis:

In position 3,4,5 players like Devdutt Padikkal, Sanju Sanson, and Shimron Hetmyer will take their chances. Padikkal was quite good in the last edition for RCB, smashes a ton. Hetmyer and Samson could play some match-defining knocks and can take their team over the line. Hetmyer has some serious hitting ability and can manage some handy runs in the death overs.

In place of 6 and 7, they have some good all-rounders either from India or outside. James Neesham, Ravichandran Ashwin, Daryl Mitchell, and Nathan Coulter-Nile could contribute brilliantly with bat and ball. Neesham and Mitchell’s performance in the recently concluded T20 world cup was impeccable. So overall it’s a good combination.

The bowling dept of RR will be far better and more established compared to all other years. They have experienced options like Yuzvendra Chahal, Trent Boult, and young bowlers like Prasidh Krishna, Navdeep Saini. Spinner like KC Kariappa and Kuldeep Yadav could also break some match-defining partnerships
