ATK Mohun Bagan AFC Cup 2022: It seemed like years passed since we witnessed India Super League. The Indian Football fraternity is now preparing for the AFC competitions as ATKMB and Mumbai City FC are all set to represent India in AFC Cup & AFC Champions League respectively. Meanwhile, the head of ATK Mohun Bagan, Juan Ferrando has already started his preparations. The Mariners have announced the contract extension of Kiyan Nassiri a few days back. The young sensation sat down with the media to discuss his future wishes.
Having scored a hat-trick in the Kolkata derby, Kiyan Nassiri aims to score goals in the upcoming AFC CUP 2022. Kiyan Nassiri mentioned, ” I scored goals in the ISL. I don’t have any goals for the international matches. If I got the chance then my aim is to score goals and win in front of fans at the Yuvabharati Krirangan Stadium.
Juan Ferrando reacts to the upcoming campaign:
Juan Ferrando has started his preparation for the AFC cup on Friday. But right now ATK Mohun Bagan’s coach has emphasized the Physical conditions of Johnny Kauko, David Williams, and Prabir Das. Mainly, they are doing physical conditioning practice in the evening with the ball and also without the ball. The coaching staff is also trying to do every physical exercise on different days. Tiri, Hugo Bumous, and Deepak Tangri are trying to improve their physical strength.
ATK Mohun Bagan will play Srilankan side Blue Star FC on 12th February 2022.. As per the rules of the AFC cup, four foreign players are allowed to play. So, Ferrando has an extra eye on players like Kiyan Nassiri in the practice sessions. On Sunday Ferrando said, ” The importance of young players in our team is valuable. Kiyan further added, ” The coach wants me and I will also be playing in the next season in green maroon jersey this is one of the biggest things for me. I have to improve myself. I am eager to play in a green maroon jersey in front of the Yuvabharati crowd. The hattrick of the last ISL is past now. I want to see the future. For the next season, I have to play better. I have to win the team. Senior players and the coaches always inspire me to play better football. This is also an extra gain. ”
