Hyderabad FC, and Mumbai City share spoils in a six-goal thriller – ISL 2022-23: The first two games of the season had their own flavor however, the third one between Hyderabad and Mumbai City just went up a notch as both teams shared spoils in a six-goal thriller. It was Mumbai City who went on to score the first through Sana’s own goal and the defending champions responded late in the first half and eventually went on to lead twice but Mumbai City restored parity each time, The full-time scoreline read 3-3.

Hyderabad FC and Mumbai City are considered the contenders for this edition of ISL and the battle lived up to the expectations as the game was end-to-end until the final whistle. The Islanders went onto the lead through an unfortunate own goal by Chinglensana. Hyderabad put on relentless pressure on the Islanders’ defense and eventually found the crack as Joao Victor restored parity late in the first half.

The second half was well poised as both sides looked to go at each other. Hyderabad went to the lead through Hali but was pegged back by Greg Stewart. A training corner from the Nizams outfoxed the Islanders as Joao Victore reestablished the lead going into the final fifteen minutes of the game. Des Buckingham introduced Noguera who once again restored the parity. With the chances coming till the last seconds, the return leg promises to be yet another enthralling battle. With this scoreline, both teams are off to the mark in the ISL.
