Ans: It’s very good. It’s a pleasure being here. The vibe so far has been very good. It’s my first day after quarantine and the guys have welcomed me with open arms.

Ans: Yeah, it’s been good. I met the coaching staff, Ricky and all. The other coaches aren’t here bit met a few that are here. The support staff has been good. The players have welcomed with open arms as I said. It’s good to hit the ground running, get familiar with the hot weather here in Mumbai. Because we have some game here, but it’s been good so far.

Ans: Yeah, it has been very good. After all, we have played some T20 games down in Kolkata where I led the chat and he said that he’s excited for me to be on the Delhi Capitals team. I am excited also. So now it’s all about appearing together, to build one champion unit and go out on the field and try to get the job done for Delhi.

Q.5 Have you started missing your family?

Ans: I stay connected. That’s why I am not getting a lot of sleep. Hopefully closer to the games I will try to ease them off a little bit. Get adequate rest so that I can perform here in the IPL. Family is family, they will always stay close to my heart but now I am on a business, I have Delhi business to take care of, the family will get a little rest for the next 2 months or so. Ans: yeah definitely, as a child growing up, I watch a lot of Ricky films, I watched Ricky’s documentary where he talks about the cricketing journey. You know the type of leader he is when he was captain for Australia. So I think that just fallen down into his coaching role and what he expects of us as players.
