Q.1 How do you feel about joining the royals of the first family?

Ans: In 2010, I was with RR. I was a part of the 30 for a year. I was in the camp but not on the main team. Because back then we had a contract. We didn’t have to wait for the auction. When I continued, I realized this is a team that gives youngsters a chance. You didn’t know those players and then they suddenly come into the team and turn into superstars. I spoke to Sanju last IPL and he said “I wish you come to the auction” and it came true. So then I came to Rajasthan.

Q.2 What is the reaction to being picked up by Rajasthan?

Ans: I was very happy. Actually, my mom really likes this. She was very excited because my nani is from Rajasthan. She likes traveling to Rajasthan so she said when IPL takes place here next year, she will be here. I will travel to you to play your match.

Q.3 Who are you looking forward to meeting the most?

Ans: I have had a good rapport with Hetmyer since he was in RCB, then he went to Delhi. I think I have never played with jimmy Neesham. And never played with Jos Buttler, so I am very excited about that.
And then obviously Sanju, there’s Navdeep Saini, we have shared many memories. I have played almost everywhere, So I am very excited for the new season.
Q.4 How do you describe your relationship with Sanju?

Ans: We are like brothers and we have represented India together. We played Ranji trophy together, I mean we have played against each other. I really like his batting. After Rohit bhaiyaa, I feel he is one of the few Indian Batter to have a lot of time and whenever he comes to play for India we have had a good time. We mostly talk about cricket. It feels good to be playing under his leadership. Because I feel it’s very important to have friendship between a captain and a player.

Q.5 What about Yuzi and Ash Partnership?

Ans: He asked me how my wrist is positioned, so we keep having cricket talks. We also fool around. In South Africa, we played together for the first time and that was important before we came to Rajasthan because now we are a family with each other and have a partnership. Because I have never played with him before, So I think that will be a plus point.

Q.6 What about your preferred batting position?

Ans: If Prasidh is playing then I will be bat ahead of him, also depending on the bowlers in the other team. And you must have seen my straight drive against West Indies, so keep playing the video again and again.
